 Vivo V20 launches India's first Android 11 phone


The V20 is the first phone in Vivo's new V smartphone range.



Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched the V20 premium smartphone in India, which was launched in the global market last month.  The camera-focused Vivo V20 is the first smartphone to arrive in India in September based on the Android 11 operating system.  And the attraction of the Vivo V20 is the thin 7.38 mm panel.


The Vivo V20 comes in two versions with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and is priced at Rs 24,990 and Rs 27,990 respectively.  Available in 3 colors: Midnight Jazz, Moonlight Sonata and Sunset Melody, the Vivo V20 will go on sale from the 20th of this month.  The V20 is the first phone in the Vivo V range.  Vivo said it was also preparing for the launch of the cheaper Vivo V20 SE.


The Vivo V20's operating system is Fontouch OS 11, which is based on the Android 11 operating system.  The handset has a 6.44-inch Full-HD + (1,080x2,400 pixels) AMOLED display.  This display has an aspect ratio of 20: 9.  The Octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC processor runs on the V20 with 8GB of RAM.


The Vivo V20 is a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f / 1.89 lens, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with f / 2.2 ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with f / 2.4 lens.  On the front of the V20 is a 44-megapixel camera with f / 2.0 autofocus lens for selfies and video chats.  The V20 comes preloaded with 4K Selfie Video, Steady Face Selfie Video, Super Night Selfie 2.0, Dual-View Video, Slow-Mo Selfie Video and Multi-Style Portrait.



Vivo V20 SE: Price and Availability


 The 8GB + 128GB variant of the Vivo V20SE is priced at MYR 1,199 (approximately Rs 21,300).  Available in Gravity Black and Oxygen Blue color options, the smartphone is currently limited to the Malaysian market.  The official listing is available on the Lasada Malaysia site.

The Vivo Y20i with 3GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage is priced at Rs 11,490.  Available in two colors, Dawn White and Nebula Blue, the Vivo Y20i will go on sale on the 3rd of next month.  With 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, the Vivo Y20 is priced at Rs 12,990.  The Vivo Y20 will go on sale on the 28th of this month in two color options, Obsidian Black and Dawn White.


The dual SIM models Vivo Y20 and Y20i run on Android based FundTouch OS 10.5.  Both the phones have a 6.51 inch HD + (720x1600 pixels) IPS display with water drop-style notch style.  The phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor.  The Vivo Y20i has 3GB of RAM and the Vivo Y20 has 4GB of RAM.  The onboard storage of both the phones is 64GB.



The Vivo Y20 and Y20i have a triple rear camera system.  The rear camera is a combination of a 13-megapixel main shooter (f / 2.2 aperture) and two 2-megapixel shooters with an f / 2.4 aperture.  The front has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f / 1.8 aperture.  Camera modes include portrait, photo, video, panorama, live photo, slow-mo and professional.
